There is no facebook plugin in the pidgin source tree. I don't know where you got it from.. and it crashes while trying to play a sound with gstreamer, but without debug symbols in pidgin, glib, gstreamer, etc ... its almost impossible to debug

It is known to crash pidgin, so don't report this here, nor upstream. Report it to facebookchat developers. This bug should be closed.

This was opened before the first version in tree was added (2008-09-11), please remove the version you have on your system and try with latest in-tree (1.60 currently), as lots of crashes were fixed since then. Of course, feel free to reopen if this crash still appears!
