Description Seemant Kulleen 2008-07-10 06:34:02 UTC
When I log into gnome, the icons appear on my desktop. Clicking on *any* of them makes them all disappear, and then running nautilus just logs me out and seems to kill gnome (gdm restarts after black/blank screen). I ran nautilus with strace from the command line and I have attached the log to this bug. Please help me make my gnome usable again :(

<aol>Me too!</aol>

Temporary workaround for me, no removable devices (CD, DVD, usb thumb drives). It's those icons that mess up nautilus, at least in my limited testing.

I'll checkout the glib bug.

Ok, I've pushed the patch to the overlay. I've just tested building glib since I don't have a full gnome 2.23 on this box.

Please close the bug if this patch indeed fixes the bug :)

Thanks
