It's been around long enough now, please mark gentoo-sources-2.6.25-r6 stable. It fixes various bugs that we haven't fixed in earlier kernels: #198215 #207413 #208843 #212842 #216639 #217387 #221095 #221741 #222013 It also includes security fixes that we have not backported to 2.6.24 (time constraints and no kernel security guy) We don't have any reported regressions over 2.6.24
==== AMD64 AT REPORT ==== *Installation[OK] *No test *Functionality: Seems to work fine here, with nvidia-drivers-173.14.09 and virtualbox-modules-1.6.2.
I now have the following installed on sparc: ========================= Linux polylepis 2.6.25-gentoo-r6-SB1000 #4 SMP Tue Jul 1 18:07:15 UTC 2008 sparc64 sun4u TI UltraSparc III (Cheetah) GNU/Linux ========================= This is an asymmetric multiprocessor using Elite (afb) video and it requires the qla2xxx.ko module and the firmware ql2200_fw.bin provided by sys-block/qla-fc-firmware-20071207-r1. SInce the system has been up for only a bit over 18 hours, I can't call the kernel stable yet, but it looks good so far.
amd64 stable, thanks Victor, Kenneth, and Santiago for testing.
amd64 and all other arches, please stabilize vanilla-sources-2.6.25.9 as well Thanks
ia64 stable
sparc stable
Stabilized both on alpha.

I tried all 2.6.25-gentoo-rX iterations: WPA (psk or radius-based) and WPA2 don't work any more, this kernel is currently not usable on my setup.
Stable for HPPA.

Ok, I think we are done with most issues...some regressions always occur, all needed packages are stabled, so x86 done and closing.
