New ebuild as per IRC discussions with robbat2, can be left p.masked in the tree if you want for now until final release. Using this release instead of the current beta should resolve the only reported vulnerability in mysql-5.1.x as well (cbf checking if it was backported or not from 5.1.23, see http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=33814 or http://secunia.com/cve_reference/CVE-2008-0226/ ) attached patch (coming in a sec) belongs in mysql-extras, refactored due to skewed line#s, patch for index also belongs there to reflect relevant patches to apply against this release. a few patches in the index for prior releases have been pushed upstream now so the list is reduced. Reproducible: Always

Created attachment 158575 [details, diff] mysql-extras-patch_against_20080619-for_5.1.25-rc.patch this patch applies against mysql-extras and actually contains both the index updates and the refactored patch for 5.1.25-rc. generated from git on 20080619, hopefully it still applies lol :P once applied, create a new mysql-extras snap with relevant date, and update date in ebuild and it should build fine id say...
