Description Stefan Hoelldampf 2008-06-04 19:12:03 UTC
The attached patch makes sure that the no-libs-for-startfile.patch (for Solaris?) is not applied on amd64-linux multilib systems. Otherwise the 32 bit parts can not be built.

gcc-multilib.patch
Comment 2 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2008-06-04 19:15:01 UTC
ehm... that looks no good, as that patch is quite necessary on linux as well iirc.
Comment 3 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2008-06-06 14:33:31 UTC
can you post your emerge --info and describe the system you build on?
Comment 4 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2008-06-06 14:37:05 UTC
and that USE-flags are you using when emerging gcc? (emerge -av gcc)

WORKSFORME on no-multilib profile..

Installed versions: 4.2.4(4.2)(11:06:22 AM 06/05/2008)

Multi-lib is such a headache that I don't want to touch it, sorry.

Since amd64 is all 64bits now..WONTFIX. Thanks for reporting and looking into it.
