I've done an etc-update after merging a new portage as instructed by the ebuild process. As a result all my /etc files likes fstab, modules.autoload, etc. reverted to some default values making my system unbootable and unusable. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.etc-update 2. 3. Actual Results: see details Expected Results: how about never overwriting my /etc files in any circumstances ?
