Description Sven 2008-05-19 23:19:03 UTC
Hi,

"equery f xdvipdfmx" shows me, that there is no dvipdfmx.cfg installed by the ebuild. Yet, in the tarball xdvipdfmx-0.4.tar.gz, there is such a file!

Is contains very usefull default like the setting "V 4" which enabled xdvipdfmx to support and generate PDF 1.4 files.

Please install the default config file.

Reproducible: Always

Oh, and there are more files in the tarball, that might have been forgotten:

xdvipdfmx-0.4/data/CMap/EUC-UCS2
xdvipdfmx-0.4/data/CMap/UniKSCms-UCS2-H
xdvipdfmx-0.4/data/CMap/UniKSCms-UCS2-V
xdvipdfmx-0.4/data/config/cid-x.map
xdvipdfmx-0.4/data/config/dvipdfmx.cfg
xdvipdfmx-0.4/data/config/glyphlist.txt

At least cid-x.map is refernced by the default dvipdfmx.cfg.

dvipdfmx.cfg is provided by dvipdfmx and seems to be more advanced than dvipdfmx.cfg from xdvipdfmx. (It sets "V 5" rather than "V 4".) Shouldn't this package depend on dvipdfmx, since xelatex complains about missing dvipdfmx.cfg when using hyperref?

The fix works, installing the unstable version of xdvipdfmx lets me include PDF 1.5 documents using xelatex.

So far it compiles documents as expected, I'll try it a few more times in the next days, but, unless there is some issue with this newest version, maybe stabilization should be considered to let this fix reach stable?
