Description Jacek 2008-05-13 14:47:53 UTC
On t61 brightness in nvram is presented by 4 bits so current version tpb doesn't work correctly. I prepare a patch for this.

Reproducible: Always

Do the fn+{home, end} keys natively switch the lcd brightness for you? For me, those keys change /proc/acpi/video/VID/LCD0/brightness but VID0/LCD0/brightness controls my brightness. I am trying to figure out how to make tpb change PATHs.
Comment 3 Jacek 2008-08-19 05:00:54 UTC
In my t61 they seem to be hardwired but also change state in nvram and in /proc/acpi/video/VID1/LCD0/brightness. By /proc/acpi/video/VID1/LCD0/brightness I can control brightness too.
regards

hmm, only VID0 changes my brightness and tpb only touches VID. I don't even have VID1 as you suggest.

Anyway, this patch is available through my overlay. You can get it with layman. or on http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/
