After installing from the Live DVD of 2008.0(without adding any additional packages at the end of the installation, it always failed when I attempted to install gnome or xfce and X11), I rebooted into the shell. When I attempt to install KDE, about halfway through the 236 packages it installs, it errors on sys-fs/cryptsetup-1.0.5-r1. It says that the file libpopt.a does not exist. dev-libs/popt has already been emerged and is up to date at version 1.10.7.
