After syncing my portage tree, updating portage, and then updating my world, some of the packages failed to clean the old version correctly. The message I got was always: >>> Unmerging foo-bar/foo-1.0.0... /var/tmp/binpkgs/foo-bar/foo-1.0.0/temp/environment: line 258: syntax error near unexpected token `(' /var/tmp/binpkgs/foo-bar/foo-1.0.0/temp/environment: line 258: ` done <<(get_mounts);' (where I have use foo-bar/foo-1.0.0 as an example package name) These packages are now stuck in a state where autoclean tries to unmerge them after any emerge operation, always failing in this manner.
