How did you install your system? I see traces of GoboLinux in your emerge log.

Gobolinux is in a chroot and has nothing to do with this system. Did you use that as an excuse to close this bug? Because frankly, you're the first person who even mentioned it. But I guess you can be content to tell anyone else that you didn't want to fix this bug, because you didn't think it was necessary. I always know how much pride a person places in their software, by the degree of attention they give to bugs. So let me repeat. Gobolinux is INCONSEQUENTIAL to this issue. Just as it has been to every other bug I've reported here. So PLEASE, don't fix it!!

I hope that's enough info,

Contrary to popular belief, Gentoo developers aren't lazy bums who are trying to deny all bugs. They are, however, quite upset with people reporting invalid bugs, so when a fellow bug wrangler sees something weird with the bug report, he usually asks a question about the user's system and sets the bug status to NEEDINFO. As you might have guessed, this particular status stands for "I need more information", which hardly qualifies as closing the bug. The original reporter is then supposed to provide the requested information and reopen the bug.

You might also want to know that having variables like PATH, PKG_CONFIG_PATH, PYTHONPATH and XDG_* with traces of GoboLinux hardly makes the issue completely irrelevant...

which version of ferrisloki do you have installed?
Comment 6 Xavian-Anderson Macpherson 2008-05-07 18:04:04 UTC
I have ferrisloki-3.0.1 installed. If I've done something wrong here, please be gentle. Libferrisstreams didn't ask for anything else to be installed. So I thought I had the right version to cover this.

Removed from tree. Feel free to reintroduce a working version, either directly to Portage or by ebuild submission to bugzilla.
