!!! Multiple versions within a single package slot have been !!! pulled into the dependency graph: sys-apps/parted:0 ('ebuild', '/', 'sys-apps/parted-1.8.6', 'merge') pulled in by ('installed', '/', 'sys-apps/hal-0.5.10', 'nomerge') ('installed', '/', 'sys-apps/parted-1.8.8', 'nomerge') (no parents) judging by the hal ebuild 1.8.8 might work. but it needs to be added to deps. couldn't >=parted-1.8.5 work? Reproducible: Always
Your emerge --info, please!
Oh, seems there's no need for your emerge --info. Either downgrade hal to the stable version or downgrade parted (by masking the newer version) or stop using ~arch. :)
well what do you know... stable hal is broke too ('installed', '/', 'sys-apps/parted-1.8.6', 'nomerge') pulled in by ('installed', '/', 'sys-apps/hal-0.5.9.1-r3', 'nomerge') ('ebuild', '/', 'sys-apps/parted-1.8.8', 'merge') (no parents) I've changed my mind though. it's parted 1.8.8 which shouldn't be stable. as I don't think hal can build against it.
Created attachment 150237 [details] emerge --info not that my setup is the problem
Hmm, ok.
Current hal in stable doesn't have this issue: disk-partition? ( >=sys-apps/parted-1.8.0 )
closing fixed.
