Comment 2 Jochen Schlick 2008-04-17 23:14:36 UTC
I have absolutely no idea how to solve this problem...
I thought it's a problem with dev-lang/perl-5.8.8-r4 package, so I reinstalled perl, called perl-cleaner .... nothing helped.

Comment 3 David Abbott (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-27 01:05:22 UTC
Jochen, can you try with the latest stable;

[ebuild R ] dev-lang/perl-5.8.8-r8 USE="berkdb doc gdbm -build -debug -ithreads -perlsuid" 0 kB
[ebuild   R   ] perl-core/PodParser-1.38  0 kB
Comment 4 Jochen Schlick 2009-12-27 15:23:43 UTC
no problem with perl 5.10.1 (my default configuration)
also no problem with 5.8.8-r8
Comment 5 David Abbott (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-27 19:00:10 UTC
Looks like we waited long enough for it to fix itself :), I will go ahead and close this, please reopen if needed. Thanks for reporting and sorry it took so long for someone to get back with you.
