After updating to 96.43.05 the X server always crashes when I log off from KDE. Version 96.43.05 works fine. /var/log/Xorg.0.log: Backtrace: 0: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x85) [0x80c7c57] 1: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//nvidia_drv.so(_nv001216X+0xe5) [0xb71d6711] 2: [0x1] Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. Server aborting Seems to be an upstream issue in the nVidia drivers. But 96.43.05 is marked as stable in portage and I think it shouldn't. And 96.43.01 should stay in portage until this issue has been fixed upstream. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. log into KDE 2. log off from KDE Xorg server gets a segfault and screen is mixed up. Possible to recover by blindly typing "/etc/init.d/xdm restart". Actual Results: Xorg server segfault (signal 11) Expected Results: X server staying alive Just for the records: vanilla kernel 2.6.22.1 GeForce2 MX/MX 400 Athlon XP VIA KT600 mainboard
