Description Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-02-27 07:45:28 UTC
merging with LINGUAS="" fixes it. build.log to follow.

If someone has a chance to take a look at it before me, great. If not, it's a reminder to do something about this before Gnome 2.22 goes gold.

It happens with en_GB too.
Comment 3 Sean Burke 2008-03-01 18:25:27 UTC
This appears to be caused by the gnome-doc-utils-fix patch being applied. The addition of `pwd` to _DOC_ABS_SRCDIR ends up tacking on the current path to the source dir, producing a bogus path. I'm not sure what the Right Thing to do here is but removing the patch fixes build.

removing the patch works for me. thanks Sean Burke

@Saleem,

Portage ChangeLog says you added that patch. Do you remember why it was needed in the first place? Do we risk anything removing it?
Comment 6 Ludovic Fauvet 2008-04-19 23:13:21 UTC
I don't think so. After a quick look I don't see any issue that can happen without it.
I think we can safely remove this patch.

not sure why the patch was introduced but:
1) couldn't reproduce this issue with it in 2.22.1
2) it seems the patch prevented installation of omf files

 so I removed the patch, closing.
