sys-boot/grub-1.9* (grub2 prerelease) needs the LZO library built as 32-bit. Spanky says he won't modify the LZO package, as that hack doesn't belong there, thus emul-linux-baselibs is probably more suitable. Files needed: /usr/lib32 /usr/lib32/liblzo2.a /usr/lib32/liblzo2.la /usr/lib32/liblzo2.so -> liblzo2.so.2.0.0 /usr/lib32/liblzo2.so.2 -> liblzo2.so.2.0.0 /usr/lib32/liblzo2.so.2.0.0 Grub2 uses both the static and dynamic portions so they are both needed.
Also the game hive rise (http://www.hiverise.com), and probably others too, needs liblzo2.so.2 built as 32-bit version. Some time ago version 1.08 was included in the emul-linux-x86-medialibs, stated here http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/emul/content.xml#doc_chap5, but instead of updating it, it disappeared.
