I'm a former Debian user. One thing I miss in Gentoo is the possibility to 
install KDE packages in a fine grained manner like in Debian. I have to 
install the whole kdenetworks package (with lots of programs) even if I only 
want to use kmail. This clutters my desktop with all those programs I never 
use. It would be great if one could just "emerge kmail" wich installs just 
kmail (and the needed kdenetwork libs).
