Description Sven E. 2008-02-15 18:11:39 UTC
For dvi support evince insists on pulling in tetex. Neither on the Project Page nor in the source seems to be any particular dependency for tetex (or tex in general).
1.) Is the dpendency necessary, what for particularly?
2.) if not, why pull in such a huge package
3.) If TeX is needed, wh force tetex instead of having people choose what they want (i.e. why not use texlive)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. build evince with USE=dvi
2.
3.

Actual Results:
tetex gets pulled in.

Expected Results:
no tetex should be polled in, or, if TeX is really needed ANY TeX should satisfy the ebuild.
