Description Tasha 2008-02-01 02:48:41 UTC
Doing an upgrade of my system starting with
emerge -e system
emerge -e world

is always failing at kdelibs.

The failure is as follows:
addresseehelper.cpp:(.text._ZNSt8_Rb_treeI7QStringS0_St9_IdentityIS0_ESt4lessIS0_ESaIS0_EE9_M_insertEPSt18_Rb_tree_node_baseS8_RKS0_[std::_Rb_tree<QString, QString, std::_Identity<QString>, std::less<QString>, std::allocator<QString> >::_M_insert(std::_Rb_tree_node_base*, std::_Rb_tree_node_base*, QString const&)]+0x60): undefined reference to `std::_Rb_tree_insert_and_rebalance(bool, std::_Rb_tree_node_base*, std::_Rb_tree_node_base*, std::_Rb_tree_node_base&)'
.libs/addresseehelper.o: In function `std::_Rb_tree<QString, QString, std::_Identity<QString>, std::less<QString>, std::allocator<QString> >::insert_unique(QString const&)':

My gcc version is:
# gcc-config -c
i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.2

My glibc version is
# equery list glibc

My qt version is:

[I--] [  ] x11-libs/qt-3.3.8-r4 (3)
[I--] [  ] x11-libs/qt-4.3.2-r1 (4)

I've attempted to recompile gcc along with glibc and then perform an emerge -e system, followed by an emerge -e world. The error still results.

I also am getting the same error with kdelibs-3.5.7-r2, kdelibs-3.5.7-r3, kdelibs-3.5.8-r3

Emerge info is below.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Emerge should be successful.

Could you attach a full build.log too, please?

Mixing gcc versions doesn't fly here...
