Here on x86_64 arch, I got it to work like this: when it failed, I just edited it directly, but you could set patches and stuff. PORTAGE_TMPDIR=/var/tmp/portage; PORTDIR=/usr/portage; . /etc/make.conf On line 307 of $PORTAGE_TMPDIR/portage/dev-perl/Tk-TableMatrix-1.2.3/work/Tk-TableMatrix-1.23/myConfig, I inserted the following line: '/usr/include', then I continued the build: for i in compile install qmerge clean; do ebuild $PORTDIR/dev-perl/Tk-TableMatrix/Tk-TableMatrix-1.2.3.ebuild $i done And it seemed to work for me so far: it built. I don't know if it works yet. (MythTV is a multiweek effort to install, so I'm not going to wait to report it. Plus, it is unreliable, so I don't recommend it.)
Comment 3 Brad Allen 2008-07-08 01:44:53 UTC
When I used w3m and vi to post that, it somehow wrapped it weird. I never asked it to wrap the response. Anyway, here it is again, posted via opera; hopefully it won't wrap this time:

Here on x86_64 arch, I got it to work like this: when it failed, I just edited
it directly, but you could set patches and stuff.

  PORTAGE_TMPDIR=/var/tmp/portage; PORTDIR=/usr/portage; . /etc/make.conf

On line 307 of
  $PORTAGE_TMPDIR/portage/dev-perl/Tk-TableMatrix-1.2.3/work/Tk-TableMatrix-1.23/myConfig,
I inserted the following line:
       '/usr/include',
then I continued the build:

for i in compile install qmerge clean; do ebuild
    $PORTDIR/dev-perl/Tk-TableMatrix/Tk-TableMatrix-1.2.3.ebuild $i
  done

And it seemed to work for me so far: it built. I don't know if it works yet. (MythTV is a multiweek effort to install, so I'm not going to wait to report it. Plus, it is unreliable, so I don't recommend it.)

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 147422 ***
Comment 5 Joe Sapp (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-25 01:26:20 UTC
Oops...this looks like a duplicate of bug #147422. Can any of the reporters confirm?
Comment 6 Joe Sapp (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-25 01:33:07 UTC
Except in order to fix it on my machine I needed to create a link named "/usr/X11":

ln -s /usr /usr/X11
Comment 7 Torsten Veller (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-16 09:13:45 UTC
Is this still a problem?
Comment 8 frank 2010-01-13 14:44:34 UTC
i had the same problem, the symlink solved it
Comment 9 Sergey Popov gentoo-dev 2013-06-13 19:40:37 UTC
It compiles fine now, without adding extra deps. Probably this should be closed as OBSOLETE
Comment 10 Mikle Kolyada (RETIRED) archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2013-06-13 20:18:03 UTC

Same result. Closed.
