I assumed you were going to assign these all to the same person/group and as such they are grouped. The Class /Carp ebuilds form a prequite to Archive-Any. On an aside note can I please get bug 17672 closed and 18675 assigned (as I have added the predominately complete ebuild)

Archive Tar has been version bumped to 1.00 in portage - ignore ebuild for it.
Daniel, This is quite a list. Do these satisfy dependancies for anything? Gentoo policy is only to add new modules if they fulfill a dependancy for a running package - we're not trying to duplicate cpan, they do an awsome job already :)
Modules for dependancies only makes sence. I was going to make some stuff that used some of these (but I gave up). I'm happy to have this marked as LATER or anything else you decide. It was good ebuild practice though ;-)
hehe...modules for dependencies do make sense and even save me some tracking time. I'll keep this bug open for a little while longer to see if anything works it's way forward.
Closing this one down for now. Re-open if one of the apps you were thinking of comes up and needs these deps. Also, policy update at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/policy.xml#doc_chap2 may get invoked :)
