I previously had wesnoth 1.2.8 emerged with USE="gnome" (so that I could have it in my xfce menu). Wanting to try out kde, I enabled the kde USE flag in make.conf and tried rebuilding all my packages, however wesnoth failed. Trying to rebuild it with USE="kde -gnome" worked again. As far as I can tell, the error is here: ... /usr/bin/install -c -m 644 'wesnoth_editor.desktop' '/var/tmp/portage/games-strategy/wesnoth-1.2.8/image//usr/share/applications/wesnoth_editor.desktop' /usr/bin/install -c -m 644 'wesnoth_editor.desktop' '/var/tmp/portage/games-strategy/wesnoth-1.2.8/image//usr/share/applications/wesnoth_editor.desktop' /usr/bin/install: cannot create regular file `/var/tmp/portage/games-strategy/wesnoth-1.2.8/image//usr/share/applications/wesnoth_editor.desktop': File exists make[2]: *** [install-dist_kdedesktopDATA] Error 1 make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/games-strategy/wesnoth-1.2.8/work/wesnoth-1.2.8/icons' make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/games-strategy/wesnoth-1.2.8/work/wesnoth-1.2.8/icons' make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 ...
