The net-fs/autofs package does build on sparc, but it does not have a KEYWORDS entry for it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. "emerge sync" 2. "grep KEYWORDS /usr/portage/net-fs/autofs/autofs-3.1.7-r5.ebuild" - notice sparc is missing 3. add sparc to the list of keywords and "emerge autofs" 4. note autofs builds just fine, feel free to rc-update add autofs default and configure and enjoy. Actual Results: autofs appears to work just fine on sparc (at least on my Ultra60) Expected Results: not built or not run or already have had sparc (or at least ~sparc) in the KEYWORDS section Portage 2.0.47-r10 (default-sparc64-1.4, gcc-3.2.2, glibc-2.3.1-r4) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.20 sparc64 sun4u GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/ http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share /config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" USE="sparc apm avi crypt cups encode fbcon gif jpeg libwww mikmod mpeg ncurses nls oss png pdflib spell truetype xv xml2 xmms zlib gdbm berkdb slang readline arts java guile sdl tcpd pam ssl perl python esd imlib oggvorbis qt kde motif opengl X gtk gnome -alsa" COMPILER="gcc3" CHOST="sparc-unknown-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-mcpu=ultrasparc -mtune=ultrasparc -O3 -pipe -falign-functions=4 - fprefetch-loop-arrays -ffast-math -fomit-frame-pointer" CXXFLAGS="-mcpu=ultrasparc -mtune=ultrasparc -O3 -pipe -falign-functions=4 - fprefetch-loop-arrays -ffast-math -fomit-frame-pointer" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="sparc ~sparc" MAKEOPTS="-j3" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" FEATURES="sandbox ccache"
I've added ~sparc to keywords. Give us about a week to test it out and if no problems arise we'll mark it stable.
Testing checked out ok, marked as stable.
