battstat ebuild fails with apparent PAM violation

relevant ebuild output reads as follows:

I'll have a look at this.  Is this still happening?  Btw, it's actually a
sandbox violation not a PAM violation :P

New ebuild does not work - sand box error as before - Error follows

This should now work as expected in the -r3 ebuild.
