Paludis is an unsupported, third party package manager. Until the errors in question can be reproduced with Portage, the official Gentoo package manager, this bug will remain closed with needinfo.

I use this package on a daily basis. I have it installed on 3 separate machines. My CFLAGS are identical. My USE flags are identical. Recompiling it in a fully built by Portage environment works for me on all 3 machines. Clearly just compiling one package with Portage and the rest with Paludis isn't going to work.

Interesting, if you had used my USE flags in emerge then you wouldn't have any USE flags. I was able to successfully merge using:

USE="X -dga dv gtk png quicktime sdl v4l yv12" emerge media-video/mjpegtools

But not when all useflags were unset. Posting this to the Paludis mailinglist too.

Clearly you failed to read your own comment #3, which listed specific USE flags as enabled. The same USE flags you mention in comment #7.

So now I found a way that broke Portage too (using no USE flags) and you complain... Happy new year!
Comment 10 Scott M. Likens 2007-12-31 21:18:05 UTC
Just to put in my 10 cents since this hit the paludis mailing list.

I had no problem installing it with 0 use flags on Paludis and Portage, see attached logs if you are curious.
