bmf is a Bayesian spam filter, designed to be fast and small. It uses spamassassin-like tagging of mails. It defaults to berkeley db-format, but it can also use plain text files and mysql, IUSE is therefore "mysql berkdb" and DEPEND is set according to these flags. I have been using it for a while, and it works great, it feels faster than bogofilter and spamassassin. Right now the original Makefile includes a 'whoami' test to ensure the user is root, but this could be commented out with a patch if necessary. It compiles cleanly and uses DESTDIR to 'make install' so there should be no problems with it. Attached below is a tar.bz2-ball with the ebuild and digest. I would not mind maintaining this ebuild if noone wants it :) I suggest net-mail/bmf.
