When using gtk-engines-murrine and GIMP small theme, GIMP crashes before displaying any dialog.

After applying the attached patches GIMP works for me again.

Bump? Has nothing been done about this?
I just emailed the author after I bumped into the crash, and he said:

8 months ago... and this bug report is like 4 months old, too? Please add the r1 ebuild, I just tested the patches provided here, and they indeed fix the crash problem... (I suppose personally I don't have to care anymore as I fixed it via an overlay, but it would be nice if new people trying out the murrine engine wouldn't experience crashes from what is a 'stable' version...)

Fixed in 0.53.1-r1
