It is currently uneasy to have interoperability on Gentoo Linux + Kexi. Other distros do have packages for keximdb driver. The source can be found at: ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/koffice-latest/src I am currently manually installing it
keximdb does not even configure if mcopidl is not available. I have added the following to /etc/portage/package.use kde-base/arts -alsa -artswrappersuid -debug -elibc_FreeBSD -esd -jack kdeenablefinal -mp3 -nas -vorbis -xinerama And then performed: emerge kde-base/arts It's a pity that mcopidl is found in the 'arts' package, which is a sound daemon! I don't like the idea of needing installtion of a sound daemon to enable Kexi MDB driver; maybe another package split is needed?
