Booting from gentoo basic_x86_1.4_rc4 gives the following error message while 
trying to identyfy the soundcard:

Intel Corp. Device: unknown device 8086:24c5
                    driver = unknown

Reproducible: Always

Hardware Info: Acer Travelmate 233, Celeron 2Ghz, Graphics Intel 845GL, 
(windows hardware mangerinfo for Sound: Crystal WDM driver for ICH4, I hope 
this is useful)

normal livecds dont support sound at this time
