The 9755-r1 version of the ebuild has been removed, as far as I can make out because it is an old version for the cards it supports (older versions of the driver are still available in portage, but they're needed for oldeer cards).

I have a 8800GTS, and all the newer 1.0.x drivers suffer from the bug described at the above URL. This bug (which is for upstream, not for gentoo) is a showstoper for me, so I'd like to stick to the most recent driver that doesn't trigger the bug, which is 9755.

I dug out the ebuild (plus associated .patch files) from svn, and compiled it without problem on a vanilla 2.6.22.9 kernel. Please restore that version into the tree (unless it was removed for a security reason ?), as it is certainly usefull to other users.
