glibc 2.6.1 fails to compile on my pentium-m laptop. I updated gcc to version 4.2.0 before I tried to compile glibc. After the first fail I tried to re-emerge binutils - but glibc fails twice. The build.log is attached. Created attachment 131807 [details] build.log hehe - ok - now the build.log ;-)
You have LD_LIBRARY_PATH set somewhere? If so, then unset it.
> You have LD_LIBRARY_PATH set somewhere? If so, then unset it. Embarrassing! A bad workman blames his tools. ;-) Thanks!
