Description Devang M 2007-09-18 06:22:23 UTC
The only USE flags I'm using are "dbus gnutls gtk nls spell" and have unmerged gufications, pidgin-encryption and purple-plugin_pack. I've tried re-compiling all of the following: "aspell aspell-dict enchant gtkspell glib dbus-glib" in that order. I also upgraded to glibc to 2.5-r4 from 2.5-r3, but that should be unrelated if my googling is correct.

I re-emerged without the spell USE flag (while trying other combinations) and it worked, so here is the startup output at the command line with USE="debug dbus gnutls gtk nls spell" while starting pidgin:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="debug dbus gnutls gtk nls spell" emerge pidgin
2. pidgin
3.

Actual Results:
The command line output is attached.

Expected Results:
Pidgin should have started without the error.

I could do a further gdb backtrace too if needed.
