Description Stefan Huchler 2007-09-14 19:40:45 UTC
When i try to emerge gnome-python or avahi emerge stops with the message:

>>> Source compiled.
--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/var/log/sandbox/sandbox-dev-python_-_gnome-python-2.18.2-31347.log"

open_wr: /dev/dri/card0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it could be a problem with the new ati driver http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191374 i emerged but i am not sure, how that can effect that, and the other guys there dont have this problems.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gnome-python or avahi

emerge --info please.
Comment 3 Stefan Huchler 2007-09-14 20:31:37 UTC
i downgraded to ati-driver 8.40 and now this bug is gone and because 8.41.7 is not in portage, i think this bug is invalid or something, so somebody can close or mark it as invalid.

Documenting

add media-video/mplayer 1.0_rc1_p20070824 to the list
to bypass you can add FEATURES="-sandbox" to bypass, i would only use that on one package at a time tho ;)
Comment 6 Florian Manschwetus 2007-09-18 23:55:43 UTC
add gkrellm and wxgtk, too
Comment 7 Florian Manschwetus 2007-09-19 12:50:08 UTC
gnuplot also violates the sandbox
