Description Jon M. Hanson 2003-04-13 14:48:47 UTC
When creating a document on OpenOffice Writer and attempt to save that document
as an OpenOffice document causes OpenOffice to crash from an "unrecoverable
error." The document can be recovered but this is still a major annoyance. It
doesn't seem to have any problems saving as a Word document.

Steps to reproduce:
- Open OpenOffice Writer with a new document.

- Type text into the document.

- Attempt to save the document as an OpenOffice document.

- Dialog box appears saving that an unrecoverable error has occured and that the
application will be closed but the document can be receovered upon start-up.

This also seems to happen with OpenOffice Calc as well.

which version are you using, self compiled or binary?

try to remove your .openoffice and .sversionrc files.
Comment 2 Jon M. Hanson 2003-04-13 16:38:52 UTC
It was compiled from source. Removing the file and directory you recommended seems to have fixed the problem. You can close this.

as per last comment =)
