As discussed with ferdy on #gentoo-dev, it's no longer possible to reasonably maintain these on 2.4 profiles, so it's easier to mask the whole thing because alpha still needs 2.4 profile for certain HW.

Gnome/Xfce part is finished, see http://dev.gentooexperimental.org/~jakub/2.4-cleanup/alpha-no-nptl-2.4/

KDE folks requested to be added to this as well, I'll do the work once the first part gets merged.

ferdy - because I just wasted about half day of my time producing a patch on profiles. Alas, these profiles change on a daily basis, the ebuilds concerned change as well, so that patches are plain useless ATM and I don't intend to repeat the same mistake again.
