I have got it to work through running all the programs on multiple command lines. It seems sguild, snort, and barnyard are not obeying the init.d conf.d configuration structure.

Reassigning back to herd since Benjamin has retired as a Gentoo developer (#89719).

This bug can be fixed by changing the ebuild, /etc/conf.d/sguild, /etc/init.d/sguild to reflect the /etc directory of /etc/sguild instead of /etc/sguil

No matter of tweaking to match sguil would work for me and constant crashes/non-starts were the rule with no exception until I made the above changes. I would guess /etc/sguild is hard-coded somewhere.

If I knew how to write a patch I would add one.

These changes working with Sguil-0.9.0
