Comment 2 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-06 04:55:23 UTC
where is the
PATCHES variable defined?
Comment 3 Grant McDorman 2003-04-06 12:15:28 UTC
There are no patches for this application. Does one have to set PATCHES="" in that case?
Comment 4 Grant Goodyear (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-21 12:55:43 UTC
Added to cvs. Please take a look at the ebuild, as I had to make a lot
of changes. Gentoo policy is that people should be able to use their
own CFLAGS unless there is a compelling reason not to, so I added that
functionality to the ebuild. I also removed the unnecessary PATCHES line.
(Take a look at /usr/portage/skel.ebuild for a good example of how to
write an ebuild, as well as the doc on gentoo.org.)
Comment 5 Grant McDorman 2003-04-22 17:22:18 UTC
The ebuild looks wonderful, thank you.

My apologies for the poor initial ebuild; I used the standard developer's practice of copying
something else instead of looking for a template. I'll know better next time.
