Is there a reason we do not have python 2.5 available on amd64? even as a ~ masked package? I know it supposedly breaks certain python packages, but it is too easy to slot python and have multiple versions installed. Reproducible: Always
It already is keyworded ~amd64, will remain masked until ready (Bug 148333).
We have it: eix -e python [I] dev-lang/python Available versions: (2.3) 2.3.5-r2 2.3.5-r3 (~)2.3.6 (~)2.3.6-r2 (2.4) 2.4.3-r1 2.4.3-r4 (~)2.4.4 2.4.4-r4 (2.5) [M](~)2.5-r2 [M](~)2.5.1-r2
excuse me. It was hard masked and that still doesn't make sense.
You haven't really read bug 148333, have you?
