mozilla-thunderbird-2.0.0.5 tosses a segmentation fault any time I view mail. This is happening to me on two systems, one x86 another amd64. I have seen the bugs regarding default themes, however I have never changed my theme, so this is something else. All I see on STDOUT is: $ thunderbird No running windows found /usr/libexec/mozilla-launcher: line 119: 19636 Segmentation fault $(type -P aoss) "$mozbin" "$@" thunderbird-bin exited with non-zero status (139) How can I get better information so that this can be solved? At this point, I am completely locked out of checking my mail. x86 system: Portage 2.1.3_rc9 (default-linux/x86/2007.0, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.5-r4, 2.6.21.5 i686) Please, attach a backtrace (you need to recompile w/ proper C[XX]FLAGS and run /usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/thunderbird-bin to get something useful). http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml

Created attachment 126495 [details] mozilla-thunderbird-2.0.0.5 backtrace, amd64 system, #1
You need to reopen, noone will notice again otherwise.
Do you mean a new bug? Thanks for the tip.
Try with a new profile, but make a backup first if you don't want to loose your mail
Hello, I'm happy to report that moving the profile and setting it up again worked on both systems. Very interesting indeed. Thank you, I hope this helps others in the future.
Yeah, known issue, nothing we can fix :)
