exempi is a port of Adobe's XMP library to Linux. Among other things, it will be used by the upcoming app-misc/tracker-0.6 release to read XMP metadata from image files.

exempi is now in the sunrise overlay. You can get the latest version from http://overlays.gentoo.org/svn/proj/sunrise/reviewed/media-libs/exempi/
v2 is out, this version should have a stable API policy so we can start using it with other packages in tree properly.
Bug https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206041 has a patch to disable building nautilus with XMP support. Any other reason no to bump this to main tree?
this has been in gnome overlay for a while and will land with gnome 2.24.
