In wine-0.9.40.ebuild, in function pkg_setup(): if ! build_with_use media-libs/alsa-lib midi (line 57) Fails (with the nice !!!backtrace and stuff) because media-libs/alsa-lib doesn't support the "midi" use flag. this cancels the merge, and it's therefore impossible to merge the latest wine (for me that is). my use flags for wine are: X alsa jack cups jpeg ncurses opengl
