Description Patrik Wenger 2007-06-12 19:58:58 UTC
I don't know if any other architectures are affected, but amd64 is.
In /etc/profile, starting on line 60, there is everithing in /etc/profile.d/ with suffix .sh sourced.

But, for example, /etc/profile.d/bash_completion (if bash_completion is installed) doesn't have this suffix.

Maybe it's bash_completion's fault, but I think it's /etc/profile's.
I fixed it by just removing ".sh" in this line and it works for me.

This is intended and not a bug.
