Description Peter Fox 2007-06-08 21:04:34 UTC
xine .tox files are treated as ordinary text files, so if the default
action is changed to invoke xine, it messes up every other ordinary text
file.

Mime package file for .tox files

Place this file in /usr/share/mime/packages, then run
update-mime-database /usr/share/mime

This will make .tox files type text/x-xine which will allow them to have a
different default action from plain text files.

Should this be part of xine ?

Please open a feature request for this on http://bugs.xine-project.org/ for the xine-ui component, I'll take up from that.
