Since JUL2002 the MM.MySQL jdbc driver is knowned as Connector/J from MySQL
official site. So, the mysql-jdbc is VERY old.
This new version are compatible with the new standars of MySQL and it is
still, and will be forever, GPL!
Thanx a lot... Bernardo S. A. Silva

I made some fixes to the ebuild and commited it now in unstable.
Looking at the SRC URI, I don't see how 3.0.7 is the latest version. I see 3.1.0 there as well.
could you clarify ?
3.0.7 is the latest stable version. The 3.1.x series is the development alpha branch.
could you test out the build that is out there now and say if it works for you?
Sorry it took so long to get back but we have now tested it and it works. We are also
now using it in production. If we don't run into any problems can this be changed to
stable for x86?
Ok, I'm marking it as stable now.
Closing as it's some 3 years old bug and seems fixed.
Best regards, CHTEKK.
