In order to reduce power consumption on laptops, I wrote a patch to make the refresh interval of rlocated adjustable by a command line parameter (-i or --interval). Most people won't need the rlocate database updated every 2 seconds. The patch changes src/rlocate-daemon/rlocated.c to introduce and document the -i parameter and doc/man/rlocated.1 for the same documentation. I also included new conf.d and init.d files to make use of the parameter.

yup, i already posted this at sourceforge and emailed it to the author. adding this to 0.5.5-r1 might be faster than waiting for 0.5.6 upstream, though.
rlocate-0.5.6 now in the tree
