Description Jimmy.Jazz 2007-06-02 20:09:27 UTC
Hello maintainers,

I made an new ebuild for festival that understand the french pronunciation. The first version did not have any success :(. This time i have integrated speech_tools as well to make it more compliant with your current release. Also, i didn't try all the options it offers. The fact that we need the module franfest makes the ebuild a bit more difficult to create than usual.

I hope that will interest you even if it is not completely finalized. Anyway, feel free to improve it if you find it useful :)

Jj

Reproducible: Always

Would you please continue in the original bug? There are already three bugs about this, merging them into one.

I understand well, but mixing that new ebuild with the other ones will make the whole more complicated to follow and to understand which one belongs to. Besides, there was no echo from the maintainers. I have just deduced they are not interested in my proposal that i made more than 6 months ago. Also, this time i followed the maintainers' idea even if i don't agree with them. I added speech_tools in the ebuild as well. This and the other ebuilds take me a lot of time that i won't spend in the future anymore. I even don't use it any longer and prefer lliaphon, that is easier and lighter as festival should have ever been.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

- There's exactly *one* developer left for the whole accessibility stuff; as you can imagine, expecting fast response on anything but critical bugs is a bit unrealistic under such circumstances, sorry.

right, app-accessibility is not the easiest category to maintain.

Also, i have checked the ebuild on a x86 computer too. system.sh doesn't recognize gentoo. The new ebuild will correct the problem.
