Emerge fails to update python exiting with a file collision.

existing file /usr/lib/python2.4/lib-dynload/dbm_failed.so is not owned by this package
2000 files checked ...
* This package is blocked because it wants to overwrite
* files belonging to other packages (see messages above).
* If you have no clue what this is all about report it 
* as a bug for this package on http://bugs.gentoo.org

We need to know what installed /usr/lib/python2.4/lib-dynload/dbm_failed.so

`equery b /usr/lib/python2.4/lib-dynload/dbm_failed.so`

Sorry, I should have mentioned earlier. equery returns nothing about the file.

I presumed with this one it would be more or less obvious to someone suitably experienced with python.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to provide info.

Well, then delete it and move on; we cannot fix collisions with orphaned stuff.
