Description Peter Gnodde 2003-03-15 13:31:11 UTC
When compiling src/dfa.c, gcc (3.2.1) generates a segfault when parsing dfa.h,
the compiler options where '-O3 -mcpu=v8 -fomit-frame-pointer'.

The (quick) solution/workaround is to add a newline after line 432 (last line of
the file) in src/dfa.h

Would you submit the output of emerge info?

Thanks.

this happened during stage2 of the install, so I'm still booted with a debian netboot image (hence kernel 2.2.20).

'/mnt/fs0' is a nfs share.

I hope this is all the info you need.
Comment 3 Jason Wever (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-24 21:15:36 UTC
Added a patch to grep versions 2.5-r1, 2.5.1 and 2.5.1-r1 that should fix this. Will do some testing as time permits.
