Bug 174426 – x11-wm/beryl does not work with x11-libs/libX11-1.1.1-r1 compiled with USE=xcb

When libX11-1.1.1-r1 is compiled with USE=xcb, beryl fails to start with:
beryl: xcb_xlib.c: 50: xcb_xlib_unlock: Assertion `x->xlib.lock' failed

Recompiling beryl does not help. I believe this is a problem with beryl. I suggest a warning before the libX11 compile, or a USE flag dependancy?

No such thing exists, just the sucky built_with_use check.

You're welcome to try the libxcb ebuild from:

Somewhat ugly, but best way I could see of solving the problem until clients are updated for the new xcb locking.

Since Beryl is being discontinued in favour of CompComm (Coral?), it may be moot in this case.

basically don't really have an intention of fixing this as its been depreciated in favor of the merged efforts so once that is out..beryl and all related stuff will be masked..
