I think you have good ideas on how to test this.

emerges fine, works on amd64

Comment 2 Vlastimil Babka (Caster) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-03-14 23:59:54 UTC
I think ppc will hit bug 148999 because 2.5.0.4 is 1.5 bytecode (that's why I dropped ~ppc on bump). Note that upstream azureus.jar is a mix of 1.4 and 1.5 so maybe it's designed to run on 1.4 without some extra functionality. But their build.xml doesn't build it like this.
Comment 3 Matthias Langer 2007-03-15 05:32:18 UTC
on x86:

azureus-2.5.0.4 USE="-source" together with

dev-java/sun-jdk-1.5.0.10 USE="X alsa doc nsplugin -examples -jce"

seems to work like a charm as usual.

x86 stable

amd64 stable
Comment 6 Tres 'RiverRat' Melton 2007-04-02 06:34:36 UTC
emerges fine on amd64 and seems to work but the new queuing code seems to have some issues. For instances I've seen it simply stop uploading after a while. I never had this problem with 2.5.0.0-r3 which I have down graded to. I do not believe this to be arch specific but that is only a gut feeling. I have no evidence one way or thee other. And I have no idea why it is doing this. It starts out fine but them just tapers off to nothing. :( If you want something tested by me it is probably best to ping me on IRC or email me directly. Although I added myself to the CC list I'm not the best at checking the bugs email folder.
Comment 7 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-08 00:51:01 UTC
Seems to work okay here, but some others are still seeing missing text. I've marked it ~ppc since it works for some, closing since we're the last arch.
